The next day I recieved a email stating it was backordered. Since I need it prior to the possible delivery date I cancelled the order. I recieved an email stating the order cancellation promptly but later recieved a phone call from Cutrate Bazaar that there was a mistake and the product had already been shipped. They offered me free shipping if I wanted to reinstate the order and apologized for the confusion. I'll admit this was not a perfect transaction but their customer service went out of their way to handle it in a quick and friendly matter. The sales rep that called me was very nice. You informed me of the problem promptly and gave me an option to cancel the order, for that I am thankful but, it could have been much quicker. I know because I just inked a contract with the company that distributes the item I purchased from you to drop ship for me. They turn around orders in 24 hours. Why did it take a month? It arrived about 10 days before Christmas and I looked it over but did not think to try it out as it was intended as a gift for another person (it needed batteries and I did not have that size available). When the recipient tried it on Christmas morning he discovered the item was defective (battery springs were missing). Unfortunately due my many online purchases I had not read CRBs return policy. My initial contact with them was not too great, but Cut Rate Bazaar followed through with exceptional customer service. I received a replacement and the recipient is very satisfied with it.
